Make a difference by helping nonprofits
Ananda Marga Universal Relief Team, a non-governmental organization associated with the United Nations was founded in Asian country India. The organization has branches in the U.S. and many other countries in the world.
People can make a difference in the world by volunteering your time and energy with NGOs and nonprofit organizations. People should help to those who are helpless. In the U.S. there are many organizations to help poor and needy people. Even the U.S. government helps their needy citizens and residents by providing food stamps, medical assistance and financial aids. However, people from developing countries, such as India, Haiti and Ghana receive less assistance from their government and social-service organizations compared to Sweden, Finland and the U.S.
According to www.amurt.net, “AMURT allocates an average of 90% of all donations and grants directly to service project expenses.” AMURT only spends 10% for administrative expenses.
AMURT has been rendering services during natural disasters and and man-made disasters. Volunteers of the organization help to accomplish it mission.
