Visiting Lecturer Kari Kirkam’s letter written on November 7, 2010
Mr. Sharan was in my Media Communication Law & Ethics class at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). In this class he proved to me his academic curiosity, his ethnic and best of all his dedication to the craft in which he chose as a profession.
Mr. Sharan is also a very ethical person. His persona comes through in the stories he writes for the The Shorthorn, the student publication of UTA. His stories I have read in the newspaper and his work in my classroom show the measure thoroughness and fairness that is necessary in a journalistic field.
—. Experience with Mr. Sharan in my class has shown that he works hard and meets his deadlines. And most of all, he really is a nice guy!
I think you would be happy with his performance as well as proudly adding him to our industry. Journalism needs good, ethical reporters. Mr. Sharan would be a great addition to that. I think he would be a great addition to your program.
